The Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Senior Lecturer of Higher Education Administration. We seek an individual with substantial professional experience working within higher education institutions and demonstrated ability to contribute to the program’s commitment to preparing the next generation of diverse leaders in higher education. To that end, we are seeking a colleague whose teaching carries a strong social justice orientation, who can enhance our efforts to build equitable and just education environments, and who can expand our partnerships with institutions that serve diverse student populations.

Higher Education Administration faculty teach primarily graduate-level courses for the master's program both on-campus and online, advise students, and provide service to the college and university. Senior lecturer's are typically assigned 3 courses per semester; a portion of the workload within this position will be dedicated to administrative responsibilities shared across the program faculty, and toward leading activities to grow the program, including student recruitment and building institutional partnerships. Courses in the Higher Education Administration Ed.M. program are offered both on-campus in the late-afternoons/evenings and online; course assignments will include in-person teaching at the Charles River Campus.

The Senior Lecturer position begins September 1, 2023. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Applications from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Boston University believes that cultural and social diversity is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs. In your application materials, we welcome a description of how, as a scholar, teacher, or community member, you will engage and sustain the commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion articulated in Boston University's diversity statement.
