The Chilkoti Group in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Duke University is seeking a postdoctoral associate to conduct research in the synthesis of nanoparticles for delivery of mRNA. Our group is highly interdisciplinary and collaborates across Duke University and beyond, including with basic science and clinical collaborators. A PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field is necessary. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in organic and polymer synthesis and characterization, the self-assembly and characterization of nanomaterials, optical microscopy, biochemical assays, microbiology, tissue culture and animal handling skills. Candidates should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
