BROCKTON MULTI-SERVICE CENTER FACILITY, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DIRECTOR, PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTIONER
The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) seeks a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to serve as the Facility Behavioral Health
Director (FBHD) for The Brockton Multi-Service Center (BMSC) in Brockton, MA. Clinical services
located at the site include an outpatient behavioral health and medication management clinic, Adult
Community Clinical Services (ACCS), Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT), and DMH
case management services.
The Facility Behavioral Health Director’s responsibility is to provide administrative and clinical
oversight for the DMH operated clinical services at BMSC including supervision of the facility’s
psychiatric providers, clinic census management, and Joint Commission compliance. In addition,
the Facility Behavioral Health Director interfaces with center leadership to ensure appropriate
management and monitoring of clinic revenue and participates in regular clinical and risk
consultation meetings, as well as quality and performance improvement initiatives. The Facility
Behavioral Health Director will maintain a caseload of outpatients and provide clinical coverage as
needed.
We seek an inspired leader, committed to the recovery model of care. Ideal candidates will possess
both a depth and breadth of advanced practice psychiatric-mental health nursing experience, as
well as demonstrated leadership and management acumen. A master’s degree in nursing (MSN) is
required, a doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) is preferred. Nursing licensure and controlled
substance registration, along with full independent nurse practitioner practice authority, in the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
Successful candidates will receive a faculty appointment that includes Departmental support for
clinical, training and research. The benefit package includes generous holiday and paid time off for

There is the option for voluntary night, weekend, and holiday coverage with highly competitive reimbursement. This position may be eligible for loan repayment programs via the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
