The intern will be working closely with graduate students and a postdoctoral
researcher at the Duke Quantum Center to build an experimental setup to trap individual ions for
quantum technology applications. Tasks will include designing and constructing opto-mechanical
systems, electronics, contributing to programming the control system as well as other activities
to establish and maintain this new laboratory effort.
