Assistant Professor in BioSciences: The Department of BioSciences at Rice University (https://biosciences.rice.edu/) invites applications for three tenure-track, assistant professor positions to begin July 1, 2024. Rice University is a private research university located in Houston, Texas and is a member of the Texas Medical Center.

Research in the BioSciences Department at Rice University leverages quantitative approaches to study biological systems using both bottom-up and top-down experimental procedures. We particularly welcome applications in neurosciencebiophysical and structural biology, and synthetic biology, including scholars who leverage computational biology approaches in each of these areas. We seek applicants with research programs that will complement the existing research in the BioSciences department. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic, innovative, and independent research program supported by external funding and will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
