| The Theory Group at The University of Texas at Austin (http://zippy.ph.utexas.edu) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. All candidates must have received a PhD (or completed all qualifications for degree, conferred by granting institution) within three years of the position start date. This is a year-to-year contract for up to three years, with each year contingent on continued funding for the position and on job performance.
The faculty of the Center for Theory includes Elena Caceres, Jacques Distler, Willy Fischler, Vadim Kaplunovsky, Andreas Karch and Can Kilic. Ongoing research ranges from formal aspects of field theory and string theory to holography, particle phenomenology and astroparticle physics. The Center has close interactions with the Centers for Cosmology and Relativity in the Weinberg Institute, as well as with members of the Astronomy and Mathematics Departments.
