Position Description
The Department of Art, Art History and Visual Studies is seeking a recent PhD instructor in Asian Art History for a one-semester teaching appointment. Eligible candidates must have graduated from the PhD program at Duke in 2021, 2022 or 2023, and have their degree in hand at the time they begin teaching at Duke. The successful candidate must be able to teach ARTHIST 295 Chinese Art 1900 to Present or an introductory art-history course, as well as one additional course at the undergraduate seminar level. The total teaching load for this position is two courses during the Spring 2024 semester.
