Professor Department of Economics College of Arts and Sciences
Position
Overview The Department of Economics at The Ohio State University seeks to hire a tenured professor in
economics (open field). The candidate hired will be expected to maintain an
active research program and support a commitment to excellence in teaching and
mentoring of a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate
levels.
Education
and Experience Requirements Required: Candidates must
have a PhD in Economics or a related field before employment begins in August
2024, and have a research, teaching, and service record commensurate with rank
of professor. Desired: Candidates
should demonstrate attentiveness to building a diverse intellectual community,
in line with OSU’s shared values (see below).

Information The Department of Economics has about 26 full-time faculty members, 75 Ph.D.
students, and approximately 1000 undergraduate majors. It is a vibrant place
