The Department of Physics, Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor with research interests in experimental condensed matter physics (CME). Exceptional candidates will be considered for positions with a more senior rank. Candidates from all areas of CME are encouraged to apply, especially those whose research interests complement the CSU program in condensed matter physics. Current areas of interest within the department include magnetics/spintronics, scanning probe microscopy, quantum materials, 2D materials synthesis, superconductivity, photovoltaics, and nanoscale pattern formation. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics or a related discipline and have a documented potential for outstanding teaching, scholarship, and research. Postdoctoral and/or other substantial experience beyond the Ph.D. is expected.
