Applications are invited to a postdoctoral opening in computational quantum information physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. The successful candidate will join Prof. Antonio M. García-García Research Group. Research profile: Candidats with a previous background on GPU computing are especially encouraged to apply. However, other research profiles, within the realm of theoretical condensed matter physics, especially with a background in superconductivity and many-body quantum chaos will also be seriously considered.
Requirements: A PhD degree in theoretical physics or related subjects.
Eligibility: Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The working language is English.
Duration: 2-3 years
Deadline: Applications will start to be reviewed in early December. The starting date of the contract is fully flexible provided that the applicant has already a PhD degree.
Salary: 300000-400000RMB per year. Additional benefits include basic health insurance and a travel grant to stimulate scientific exchange. An indication of the cost of living in Shanghai: Price of lunch/dinner on campus ~10-15RMB Monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment around campus ~5000RMB/month
