The Theoretical Astrophysics Center (TAC) at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for TAC Postdoctoral Fellows, with an anticipated start date in Fall 2024. TAC Fellows are expected to carry out independent research on topics of their choosing in theoretical astrophysics, broadly defined. The positions are anticipate to be for three years, contingent on satisfactory performance and funding. Applicants responding to this ad will also be considered for grant-supported postdoctoral positions with TAC members.

Accepted candidates will have the opportunity to interact and work with the broad spectrum of theoretical astrophysics researchers in the Berkeley Astronomy and Physics Departments, and at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and the NSF funded N3AS Physics Frontier Center.

Successful candidates must have a recent Ph.D. in theoretical physics/astrophysics and the ability to work productively within Berkeley's diverse research environment, including the production and publication of original research and the effective presentation of research results in seminars and at scientific meetings. The anticipated annual salary range is $70-$76K, with a generous allowance for research and travel funds.
