Position Description
Postdoctoral positions in the STAR experiment Group at CCNU Position Type: Postdoctoral Positions Number of Positions: 2-3 Position Description: The Institute of Particle Physics, College of Physical Science and Technology ,Central China Normal University (CCNU), Wuhan, China, invites applications for postdoctoral positions to work in the STAR experiment at the RHIC，BNL, US. The CCNU-STAR group plays an important role at STAR experiment to study the properties of QGP and explore the QCD phase structure in heavy-ion collisions. You will engage in the analysis of data from the second phase of the STAR energy scan. Research topics include, but are not limited to, fluctuations and correlations, collective flow, and the production of strange particles and light nuclei. Upon joining, postdocs can choose research topics based on their personal interests and the group's planning. Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. in particle physics, nuclear physics, or related fields, including graduating Ph.D. students. 2. Familiarity with high-energy nuclear physics experimental data analysis. 3. Fluent in English for reading, writing, and communication. Compensation: 1. Annual salary: No less than 200,000 CNY, with negotiable terms for outstanding candidates. The appointment is for 2-3 years and supports applications to the Postdoctoral Talent Program. Research achievements will be rewarded according to the university's relevant award scheme. 2.
