Description:
The Tang group in the physics department and Center for Theoretical Biological Physics at Rice University seeks applicants for a postdoctoral research fellow.Topological states exhibit protected currents and robust localization that can stabilize unique functions in stochastic and biological systems. This exciting and growing field opens fundamental theoretical questions in non-Hermitian and dissipative physics with new mathematical and physical properties. We are based in Rice University with a strong theoretical condensed matter community in quantum and biological systems, a part of the lively Center for Theoretical Biological Physics which also offers postdoctoral fellowships.Interested candidates should have experience with or interest in topological states or non-equilibrium systems or their applications to active and living matter. Applications should include a CV with a list of publications and three letters of recommendation, which can be submitted below.
Applications will be reviewed in the order received on a rolling basis.
