Position Description:
Research Associate
Institution: Duke University, Biomedical Engineering Department
Experience required: PhD in Biomedical Engineering
A motivated and highly organized engineer is sought to provide engineering support to an active university research laboratory developing intra-operative optical coherence tomography imaging technology. Specific duties include conducting imaging technology development and testing, design/construction of electronics, computer interface design and programming, and assistance in preparation of research manuscripts and regulatory applications (IRB, FDA). This position also requires skills and dedication to constructive interactions with scientific staff (i.e. undergraduate and graduate students) and physician collaborators. The position involves supporting extensive collaborative activities with Duke Medical School faculty, including conducting collaborative human subjects trials.
