The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Lassonde School of Engineering at York University invites inspiring teachers for a Sessional Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream position in Computer Science: Data Science. This is a Contractually Limited Appointment (CLA) to the teaching stream for a three-year term to commence July 1, 2024.

About the Position
The successful candidate will be expected to serve as Course Instructor for courses in Data Science offered by the Department, (including Introduction to Databases, Advanced Databases, Data Mining and Big Data Systems). This position focuses on undergraduate teaching. Evidence of excellence or promise of excellence in teaching will be provided through: the teaching statement, teaching accomplishments and pedagogical innovations, including in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning, teaching evaluations, and strong letters of reference.

Candidate Qualifications:
•    Degree: PhD or PhD very near completion by July 2024 in Computer Science, or a closely related field is required.
•    Teaching: A record or evident promise of excellence in teaching and dedication to students (e.g., teaching statement, teaching accomplishments and pedagogical innovations, including in high priority areas such as experiential education, technology enhanced learning, and teaching evaluations).
