Position Description

Pratt Masters Programs, Duke University seeks a temporary, part-time Associate in Research to support Professor Luis Morales, Executive Director Master of Engineering Management, Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University. 

Position Mission: The Master of Engineering Management degree blends engineering and business and is a non-thesis program tailored for engineers. Graduates become product managers, consulting analysts, and business analysts, among others. As an Associate in Research within Duke’s Master of Engineering Management program, this position will be transforming the program’s processes related to Alumni engagement, ensuring that it is responsive to client needs and tailored to feedback and data collected from alumni. 

Position Duties: Subject to modification, 
  • Identify implications for organizational leadership, strategy, culture, structure, processes and practices 
  • Use engineering management skills to test pilot solutions including assisting in prototyping, testing and iteration, and gathering stakeholder feedback. 
  • Produce practical recommendations for leadership

  • Solid research skills Exceptional written communication skills 
  • Self-starter; Can work with high autonomy; High Emotional Intelligence 
  • Intrinsic interest in management, leadership, motivation and organizational performance 
Reports to: Professor Luis Morales, Executive Director Master of Engineering Management, Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University 
Start Date: Immediate Time required: Part-time; 20 hours/week 
Duration: Temporary; 4 – 6 months
