Position Description:
The Department of Statistical Science is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate. This two-year postdoc position, joint between Professors Laber and Mak, aims to develop novel statistical methods (with supporting theory and algorithms) for optimizing black-box systems, with targeted applications in healthcare and the physical sciences. The position requires a Phd in Statistical Science or a related field. The candidate will be expected to conduct collaborative research in multi-disciplinary teams, publish in top data science and domain science venues, and mentor graduate students.
