The
Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies at Boston University seeks a full-time Lecturer in Jewish Studies/Holocaust Studies, beginning September 2024. Responsibilities include teaching and curricular development of beginning Jewish Studies classes, as well as the ability to teach interdisciplinary Holocaust Studies courses, including literature, film and history. Minimum requirements include a PhD in Jewish Studies or related fields; demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching for at least three years; knowledge of current issues and scholarship in Jewish Studies and in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. The successful candidate will also demonstrate ability to integrate our Jewish Studies and Holocaust, Genocide and Human Right Studies programs with other units on campus, and to contribute to curriculum development at the Elie Wiesel Center.
