Postdoctoral Research Associate - Department of Physics

Computational Quantum Materials

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate position in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and is expected to begin in Spring or Summer 2024.   The successful applicant will work together with Professor Adrian Del Maestro on projects related to the design and development of next-generation quantum sensors utilizing strongly interacting quantum materials.    The successful candidate will combine classical and quantum computational many-body techniques (including classical and quantum Monte Carlo, molecular dynamics, and ab initio methods) to design, profile, and optimize real early stage devices via a close collaboration with a larger experimental team.
