The Anyi Mazo-Vargas Lab in the Biology Department at Duke University is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. Our research centers on developmental patterning and evolution, with a focus on understanding how spatial information is established and evolves during development. We employ cutting-edge genomics and single-cell techniques, as well as genome engineering and other methodologies, to investigate gene function and regulation. The successful candidate will lead an independent research project and will have the opportunity to mentor both undergraduate and graduate students. A Ph.D. is required, preferably in fields such as biology, development, genetics, cell biology, or related disciplines. Preferred Qualifications - Proficiency in chromatin mapping technologies such as ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, HiC-seq - Familiarity with transgenic methodologies, CRISPR/Cas9, and RNAi - Experience in conducting in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry assays.
