Position Description

Associate in Research Position for vetting and proofreading a corpus of 1300 English translations of Ancient Greek inscriptions, updating translations in the light of new editions of the same inscriptions, ensuring consistency across the corpus, and developing a database of defined content elements in the corpus. PhD-level command of Ancient Greek is required, along with familiarity with epigraphic, onomastic, and geographic scholarly resources, and expertise with reading scholarly French and German. The position is paid hourly for roughly 200 hours of work. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
