The lecturer will help lead expansion of the broadcast program and will teach six courses per year, most in the broadcast curriculum. The lecturer also will help students produce content and programming for distribution on campus web and broadcast platforms and will contribute related academic service. We seek a colleague with broad professional and teaching abilities, who can help students develop basic and advanced cross-platform skills and a contextual and critical approach to the field. The department is especially interested in candidates with a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in a multicultural educational environment.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Journalism or a closely related field and significant professional experience. The position begins January 1, 2014, or no later than June 1, 2014, and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
