|MITâ€™s Program in Science, Technology, and Society invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of assistant professor. The area of study is the history of science and/or medicine with a focus on the modern period. Graduate and undergraduate teaching and advising are expected. Interest in establishing scholarly connections at MIT beyond the STS Program is desirable.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D by the start of employment. The offer is contingent upon completion of the degree by the start date of employment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. The appointment is anticipated to begin in academic year 2014-2015.
