We are looking for applicants with a strong academic background who have completed a PhD within a relevant discipline.

You must have expertise in at least two of the followring research topics:

You must be able to document active, ongoing research at a high academic level and have the potential for future high-level research in the subject area. You must have very good command of both oral and written English.

Furthermore, emphasis is placed on you having:

• experience collaborating with the professional/work sector
• contributed to ensuring that research-based knowledge is applied in society, and being able to demonstrate results from innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization of research
• the ability to build and maintain professional networks – regionally, nationally, and internationally
• high work capacity, and being curious and motivated to contribute to the development of academic and interdisciplinary collaboration at the university
• good cooperation and communication skills, and the ability to contribute to a constructive working environment

You must have excellent oral and written proficiency in English.

The Faculty of Science and Technology offers study programs at bachelor, master and doctoral level. The faculty has established close cooperation on research with NORCE (Norwegian Research Centre AS) and the regional industry. Department of Mathematics and Physics is part of the Faculty of Science and Technology. The department offers study programs at all levels within the areas Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. The department is responsible for all basic tuition in mathematics, physics and statistics at the faculty. There are currently 50 employees including doctoral and postdoctoral fellows, and 100 students at the department.
