The Department of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) at Hamline University seeks candidates for a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor of Political Science, with a focus in international/comparative politics beginning Fall 2014. The Assistant Professor of Political Science will be responsible for teaching our introductory World Politics course, and will be staffed on our First Year Seminar on a rotating basis. Other teaching areas might include (but are not limited to) Human Rights, Democratization, International Political Economy, Political Research and Analysis, or another regional focus. Assistant Professor of Political Science is also encouraged to contribute to Hamlineâ€™s East Asian Studies and Global Studies Programs, and possibly to the Model United Nations program as well. Successful candidates should be committed to effective teaching and quality scholarship.
Requirements: Candidates must possess PhD in Political Science or ABD Status. Candidates must also possess expertise in international and comparative politics, with a specific ability to teach about the politics of East Asia, including China.
