|The Department of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology announces a dissertation fellowship for advanced graduate students. This fellowship has several equally important goals. It seeks to locate applicants of exceptional academic achievement who are working on interesting and important topics that will contribute to the political science profession and to the intellectual life of MIT’s political science department. It also seeks to increase the diversity of MIT’s faculty, thereby maximizing the educational benefits of diversity.
The fellowship will provide one year of support for students working to complete a dissertation leading to a Doctor of Philosophy. Students are expected to complete their dissertations during the fellowship period.
Interested applicants should send the following materials to the address below:
1. Cover letter, in which applicant describes his/her research goals and his/her intellectual efforts in enhancing diversity in the political science profession.
2. Curriculum vitae.
4. Three letters of recommendation.
5. One chapter of the dissertation.
