Academic Extension invites applications for Pro Tem open applicant pool to provide instruction and/or related program coordination for existing and potential programs in a variety of content areas. Instruction may be credit or non-credit programs, serving students across a range of learning needs, including professional development and lifelong learning, and may include place-based workshops, online and hybrid formats. Positions may be funding contingent, part-time or temporary assignments, with an appointment of up to one year but potentially renewable for up to a total of three years depending on need, funding and performance. Salary is dependent upon education and experience, and may vary by program as appropriate to relevant academic department partner protocols and business models of each program.
Successful candidates will have either academic or professional experience in their teaching area, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. Minimum degree requirements range from Bachelor’s to Ph.D. depending on the position. In exceptional circumstances, significant professional experience in a relevant field may substitute for the required degree.
