Tenure Related Positions in Neural Circuit Formation and Function


The Institute of Neuroscience (ion.uoregon.edu) and the Department of Biology at the University of Oregon announce two new tenure-track faculty positions (one open rank) to study neural circuit formation and/or function, as part of a planned “Neurons to Minds” cluster hire. We are particularly interested in researchers using model systems such as C. elegans, Drosophila, zebrafish, and mouse. This initiative will continue with future hires in cognitive and theoretical neuroscience, with the goal of expanding our strong, interdisciplinary neuroscience community.

Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in an appropriate field, commitment to excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and an outstanding research record. Candidates should have the ability to work effectively within a diverse community.
