Yale-NUS College, a collaboration between the National University of Singapore and Yale University, invites applicants for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the interdisciplinary area of Urban Studies. Applications are welcome from any relevant social or spatial discipline, although we have an interest in scholars who use architectural or sociological/demographic approaches to understanding urban questions. A background in quantitative analysis, formal urban analysis, and/or spatial analysis (including GIS) would be considered advantageous.

Applicants should have a relevant PhD and be active researchers with a commitment to creative and effective undergraduate teaching and mentoring. The incoming faculty member would join a committed team dedicated to the development and teaching of the Urban Studies Major and Yale-NUS’s flagship Common Curriculum (see

The appointee will be expected to begin their duties in time for the start of the 2017-2018 academic year. Salary, benefits, and leave policies will be competitive at an international level.
