|Colgate University seeks to fill a tenure-track position to begin Fall 2017 at the assistant professor level. Ph.D. required. Duties include directing the analytical curriculum, and teaching instrumental methods, general chemistry, advanced courses in area of specialty, and associated laboratories, as well as directing a productive undergraduate research program. Candidates with research interests in environmental chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, materials characterization, forensics, or other interdisciplinary areas of analytical chemistry are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in university-wide programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The Department offers strong BA programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry and has excellent facilities. One year of research is required of all senior majors. Student participation in faculty research programs is strongly encouraged and supported, during both the academic year and summer. New faculty members receive generous start-up support, and student stipends for summer research are available.
