|The Department of English at Brandeis University seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Anglophone African literature, with expertise in the novel and film preferred, beginning Fall 2017. It is expected that the successful candidate will have received the PhD by September 2017 and will demonstrate the potential for excellence as both a scholar and a teacher. This search is part of an ongoing cluster hire initiative in Africa Diaspora Studies at Brandeis University which aims to broaden and strengthen the existing intellectual community of scholars at Brandeis engaged in the study of people of African descent.
