|Shanghai Center for Complex Physics (SCCP) department of Physics and Astronomy,at SJTU (http://sccp.physics.sjtu.edu.cn) is conducting experimental and theoretical research at the interface between traditional condensed matter physics and the newer field of quantum information, including topological quantum computing, unconventional and high-transition temperature superconductors, topological quantum materials and strongly entangled many-electron systems, and training physicists of future generations. Professor Tony Leggett of University of Illinois is its founding director and Professor Ying Liu is its executive director. PRC nationals, Chinese speakers who are not PRC nationals, and others are welcome to apply. Those who do not speak Chinese will be able to carry out their teaching and other official duties in English if appointed. Several non-Chinese faculty members are currently working at SJTU Physics and Astronomy.
A successful candidate is expected to hold a PhD degree with demonstrated accomplishments. Appointments will be made with a 2-year initial contract, renewable up to 4 years.
