Senior and junior tenure-track faculty positions are available at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute (Jacobs Institute), a key component of the new Cornell Tech graduate-level campus in New York City. Faculty hired in these positions will be academically appointed via the Technion at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, and permanently located at Cornell Tech in New York City. Employment and benefits are delivered through Cornell University, and match those of Cornell faculty.

Cornell Tech is a leading academic institution, revolutionizing academia’s approach to entrepreneurship and academic interaction with industry. Its mission is to develop leaders and technologies for the digital age. Research at Cornell Tech and specifically at Jacobs, therefore, focuses on the broad applied area of computing and information sciences.

We are interested in exceptional applicants from any area of engineering, computing, and information-driven fields related to and broadening the Jacobs Institute’s current research interests. We seek individuals who have excellent academic records and demonstrated engagement and impact outside the academic world. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., have the ability to conduct outstanding research and provide education at the level of faculty at top US and Israeli institutions. Suitable applicants will also have a strong interest (and demonstrated record, depending on seniority) in the technology commercialization and entrepreneurship mission of the Jacobs Institute.

We will begin reviewing and interviewing candidates immediately and continue until the positions are filled. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, brief statements of research and teaching interests, and request that at least three (preferably five) references on their behalf be submitted through the site. The research statement should also explicitly describe the entrepreneurial and commercialization aspects of the applicants’ achievements and plans.
