|Chapman University's Crean College of Health & Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology seek applications for a non-tenure track, full-time faculty position to teach courses in the Health Sciences major related to Public Health, Health Policy, and/or Health Informatics beginning Fall 2017.
The Health Sciences major prepares students for graduate work leading to careers in health care fields, offering a combination of basic science, behavioral science, and health science courses that provide students with a multidisciplinary understanding of health and healthcare.

A Ph.D. in disciplines related to public health or health policy, DrPH or dual degrees such as MPH/MPP is required, as is prior teaching experience with evidence of teaching effectiveness (especially pertaining to undergraduate students). Applied experience in public health, health planning and policy (domestically and/or internationally), and collaborative practice in the health sciences is desirable.
Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester that may include teaching dedicated courses and/or develop courses that include content in the areas of: Public Health, Health Policy and Planning, and Global Health that will include principles of Interprofessional Education and Evidence-Based Practice. The person will also be required to teach a Capstone course that will be the culminating experience for senior students applying to health care programs. The primary service responsibility of the successful candidate will consist of advising health science majors. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Note - This full-time Instructional Assistant Professor position is available for an initial two year contact that is potentially renewable for longer terms and includes benefits.
