|The Hebrew University and The Racah Institute of Physics are conducting a search for one or more postdoctoral fellows starting Fall 2017. A degree at the PhD level, or equivalent, is required. We seek experienced physicists with strong research portfolios in the fields that overlap with interests in our groups. These positions will span a range of topics including string theory, cosmology, scattering amplitudes, classical and quantum gravity, work in areas that include gravity, condensed matter physics, and quantum information as well as research in properties of gauge and supersymmetric quantum field theories.
The Racah Institute of Physics offers a stimulating research environment: adequate financial support, accessibility of other Israeli research centres, joint seminars with leading Israeli researchers from Technion, Tel-Aviv University and Weizmann Institute of Science. Postdocs can expect to have lots of interactions with the greater Israel high-energy community.
The current list of faculty members include Shmuel Elitzur, Amit Giveon, Yonit Hochberg, Barak Kol, Eric Kuflik, David Kutasov (visiting professor), Eliezer Rabinovici and Misha Smolkin, with close interactions with the astrophysics group as well.
Prospective candidates should submit a CV, research statement, publication list, and at least 3 letters of recommendation. Applications should be received by December 1, 2016 for full consideration.|
