Rice Center for Quantum Materials, Rice University
|The Condensed Matter Theory Group at Rice University expects the opening of a postdoctoral position with a start date in Fall 2017. The successful candidate will be able to interact with Prof. Andriy Nevidomskyy, Prof. Qimiao Si, Prof. Matthew Foster, other postdocs and students in our theory group, as well as an active group of experimentalists. These positions are targeted towards strongly correlated electron systems, broadly construed. Examples of the specific areas of interest include quantum phase transitions, unconventional superconductivity in iron-based systems and beyond, heavy fermion physics, topological states in metals and superconductors, frustrated quantum magnetism, and spin liquids. Both analytically and numerically minded applicants will be considered.
Applicants should upload all the documents specified below, including a single PDF file that contains a brief (typically up to 3 pages) statement of research interests accompanied by 2 (p)reprints. In order to ensure full consideration, applications including letters of recommendations should be received by December 1, 2016. Exceptionally qualified candidates will be nominated for a Rice Center for Quantum Materials Postdoctoral Fellowship, which carries a substantial supplement for salary. Rice University is an EO/AA employer.|
