The Department of Biology at Merrimack College seeks a broadly-trained, interdisciplinary scientist with expertise in one or more of following areas: ecology, neurophysiology, and toxicology. Applicants must have a Ph.D., and post-doctoral research experience and/or significant teaching experience at the undergraduate level. The position involves teaching courses within our core and upper-level curriculum in the candidate's area of expertise. The candidate will be expected to develop an active research program engaging undergraduate students. The successful candidate should be committed to undergraduate teaching. Please submit references, a statement of teaching philosophy and a research plan that includes undergraduates. This is a tenure-track position.

Merrimack College is a selective, independent college in the Catholic, Augustinian tradition and is located 25 miles north of Boston. The College offers undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts, business, science and engineering, and education; it also offers graduate programs. It is distinctive in that it has a School of Science and Engineering and as a member of the Biology Department, you will have opportunities for research and teaching collaborations with our chemistry & biochemistry, engineering, health sciences, and mathematics departments.
