Professor of Practice in Instructional Technology
Lehigh University seeks an experienced instructional technologist for a Professor of Practice position to teach technology classes in the College of Education’s master’s and doctoral degree programs. Using a multidisciplinary, integrative approach, these courses prepare our highly motivated students in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of technology products to enhance learning for diverse learners in a variety of settings, from school classrooms and business training programs to online museums and virtual worlds.
The Professor of Practice position is for a 9-month, nontenure-track contract for three years, which may be renewable depending on the candidate’s individual performance and continued need. This is a full-time position, with a teaching load of 3 courses per semester.
Candidates should have an earned doctorate in instructional technology or a related field and experience teaching in higher education settings. The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment to teach graduate-level instructional technology courses; engage in program service including student advisement and recruitment; and participate in targeted college and university service, as appropriate. Work on grant-funded projects and/or extra teaching for additional remuneration can be negotiated.
