The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stony Brook University has a tenure-track faculty position open in Computational Fluid Mechanics.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates in the area of computational fluid mechanics, with an emphasis on renewable energy, energy efficiency, data-driven computing, and computational algorithms for exascale computing. Highly qualified candidates in a closely related thermo-fluid area will also be considered.

Responsibilities & Requirements: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stony Brook University has one tenure-track faculty position open in Computational Fluid Mechanics. While the position is anticipated at the Assistant Professor level, exceptional candidates may be considered for the Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and potential for establishing an externally funded research program. Candidates for the rank of Associate or Full Professor should have distinguished records of research and educational activities including a strong and diverse funding history.

The Mechanical Engineering department is part of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS), which consists of eight academic departments, as well as the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) and the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC).
