Position Description:    

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oregon is seeking qualified applicants for its open Pro Tem Instructor pool. Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding and performance. Positions are available on an ongoing basis. Salary is dependent upon education and experience.

A Master's degree in chemistry or a related field is required; Ph.D. preferred. Potential teaching assignments may include courses in general chemistry, organic/inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, or biochemistry. Prior relevant instructional experience preferred. The successful candidate will support and enhance a diverse learning and working environment. Salary dependent upon experience.

Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active until December 31, 2017. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled. Hires from this pool will require a background check.
