Position Description: Benedictine University Department of Nutrition invites applications for two annually renewable 12-month appointments as half-time (non-benefit eligible) Professional Clinical Faculty Instructors, starting September 2017.

 

Responsibilities:

             Manage and coordinate supervision and evaluation of interns and preceptor at distant sites.

             Participate in curricular development and ongoing program review.

             Communication and coordination with Dietetic Internship Director, program faculty, preceptors, and interns.

             Teach select graduate courses that support the dietetic internship program.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

             Earned master degree in Nutrition.

             Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by CDR.

             Five years professional experience post credentialing as RD/RDN.

             Experience as a Preceptor of Dietetics students.

             Familiarity with accreditation standards by ACEND.

             Demonstrated ability to utilize technology and online delivery methods.

 

Preferred qualifications:

             Professional experience in medical settings.

             Managerial and/or leadership experience.

             Demonstrated ability of effective teaching.

             Strong written and verbal communication skills.

             Ability to interact successfully and work harmoniously with colleagues and students in a diverse community
