Position Description: Benedictine University Department of Public Health invites applications for a full-time, 9 month, tenure track faculty appointment as Assistant Professor. Position involves teaching in an innovative on-line and on campus MPH program. Individuals specializing in Informatics, Research Methods, Health Education and Behavior, or Global Health are especially encouraged to apply. However, all are welcome to apply. Appointment date is September 1, 2017.
• Teach courses in an on-line and on campus MPH graduate program
• Contribute to curriculum development and implementation and participate in the systematic program evaluation of the MPH
• Conduct on-going research/scholarly activity in area of expertise and disseminate findings
• Participate in professional and community activities
• Participate in academic activities at Department, College and University level
• Provide academic and career advising to MPH students
• Earned doctorate or terminal degree (in Public Health or related field) from an accredited institution
• Experience with teaching on the graduate level, distance learning and on-line teaching delivery
• Experience in public health practice
• Evidence of scholarly/research accomplishments
• Ability to interact successfully within a multicultural environment and to work harmoniously with colleagues, students and the community
