|The Department of Political Science at Duke University invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Instructor position beginning August 2017. The successful candidate must have completed the Ph.D. prior to the start date. Candidates should have primary expertise in Comparative Politics. We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach in the areas of authoritarian institutions or political economy, especially as applied to East or Southeast Asia; we will also consider applicants in other areas of specialization. Teaching responsibilities are two courses per semester. Applicants should submit a letter of interest describing their research agenda, a curriculum vitae, graduate school transcripts, a writing sample, evidence of teaching excellence, and three letters of recommendation.
