Position Overview:​ Merrimack College’s School of Education & Social Policy invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Education & Community Studies, to begin in the fall of 2017. The department serves a growing population of undergraduate and graduate students gaining teacher licensure across a range of early childhood, elementary, middle and secondary licenses. This is a tenure-track position.

The successful candidate will teach core education courses in their area of expertise. The department is particularly looking for expertise in moderate disabilities in the field of special education. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Education or a similar concentration; Pre K-12 teaching experience; knowledge of Massachusetts regulations; experience teaching in higher education settings; and a commitment to the values and principles of excellence, equity, and engagement at the heart of the School of Education & Social Policy.
