The SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University invites applications from qualified individuals for a full time tenure-track faculty position in our Management and Organizations Area, with a start date of July 1, 2018. Rank is assistant professor, and salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants with a Ph.D. (defended or ABD) in Organizational Behavior or a related field and seasoned, untenured professors will be considered.


Responsibilities of the position include: 1) research in area(s) of expertise, 2) teaching basic and advanced courses at the BS, MBA, EMBA and/or Ph.D. levels, 3) supervision of doctoral candidates, and 4) service to the Area, School, and College.


The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three AACSB-accredited Schools: The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the School of Hotel Administration (Hotel School).


The Management and Organizations Area at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business consists of 49 faculty from across our three Schools.


The intent of this process is to recruit hires for the School of Hotel Administration. The School that best fits the candidate’s research, teaching and public engagement interests will ultimately serve as the tenure home. Faculty nonetheless have opportunities to teach across the three Schools’ degree programs in order to develop an appealing teaching load.


The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, the top-ranked hospitality management program worldwide, enrolls approximately 900 undergraduates and 70 graduate students.  Founded in 1922, SHA is home to over 60 full-time resident faculty and over 12,000 alumni worldwide.




All applicants will have a Ph.D. (defended or ABD) in Organizational Behavior or a related field. Seasoned, untenured professors will be considered. Preferred candidates will demonstrate significant accomplishment in research, teaching, and service and will complement and extend the strengths of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business’ faculty.
