The Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a junior tenure-track faculty position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. The successful candidate should have a strong record of research in the areas of materials or device physics, with a preference for research related to electronic, optical and optoelectronic applications. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who can form collaborations within the department’s CMP, photonics, or medical/radiation physics groups, all of which have a significant materials physics component, and with research groups across OSU. The successful candidate will be expected to attract extramural research funding.

The Department of Physics welcomes applications from outstanding candidates, who, through their research, teaching, and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the Physics Department. A Ph.D. in Physics or an allied field is required as well as the promise of excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and the ability to mentor underrepresented students.

Appointments at the Assistant Professor level are expected with a start date of August 15, 2018.
