Position Description:    

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track position in experimental condensed matter physics. Exceptional candidates in all areas of experimental condensed matter physics, including materials physics and modern optics are encouraged to apply. The appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree, or the equivalent, and is expected to establish a dynamic research program and participate effectively in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, training, and experience.
