The Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University is conducting a search for a candidate for a regular rank faculty position. Population Health Sciences is a newly formed non-clinical department in the Duke University School of Medicine that houses approximately 34 faculty members who conduct research in the fields of epidemiology, health services research, health measurement and implementation science. Faculty collaborate closely with clinical departments and institutes across the School of Medicine. 

The faculty member will be a member of the new Center for Health Measurement. The Center’s mission is to design and conduct research studies on critical methodological issues for measuring patient-centered outcomes and to collaborate with investigators from academia, industry, and government to promote the principled use of patient-centered outcome measures in research and healthcare delivery settings. 

We seek a candidate who has interest in applying patient-reported data in different areas including, but not limited to, healthcare delivery settings, palliative care, geriatric care, pediatric care and research, mobile health, and rare disease populations. Requirements: 
• A PhD degree in public health, population health sciences, psychology, pharmacy, nursing or related discipline. 
• Experience in assessing patient-reported outcomes and/or other types of patient-generated data. Experience in health services and/or health outcomes research.
• Highly self-motivated individual, enthusiastic about scientific discovery and able to collaborate closely and effectively with other members of a research team 
• Demonstrated ability or potential to secure external funding 
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and oral)
