The Department of Psychology at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year replacement position in social psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor beginning fall semester 2014. Completion of Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire. Colgate is a highly-selective liberal arts university of 2800 students situated in central New York. The appointee will join a psychology and neuroscience faculty of teacher/scholars deeply committed to a strong, research-oriented program. The teaching load is equivalent to five courses per year. Teaching responsibilities are likely to include staff-taught courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, or Statistics); Social Psychology; upper-level courses in the candidate's specialty area; and supervision of senior thesis work.
