The University of Washington Department of Physics invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in experimental gravitational physics for an anticipated appointment beginning June 2019. This is a full‐time, 12‐month position and is not tenure eligible.

The successful applicant will have a PhD (or foreign equivalent) and postdoctoral experience of at least three years in experimental gravitational research in gravitational wave detection and test of fundamental properties of gravity.

The research assistant professor will work with undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdocs in the Eoet-Wash group on LIGO and torsion balance experiments. In addition to research and educational efforts, the research assistant professor will share administrative activities and participate in grant writing.
